Users can contact us for privacy-related questions, access requests, or data deletion requests.

2. Data we collect

Appli-Car may access and process the following personal and sensitive data, depending on the features you use:

  • Identification information: name, email address.
  • Device data: model, operating system, unique identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, etc.).
  • Location: precise or approximate, if enabled and permitted by the user.
  • Media: photos or videos, only if the user grants permission.
  • Microphone or contacts: only when required for a feature and with your explicit permission.
  • Analytics, usage and interaction: (to improve the user experience).

This data is collected only when the user grants runtime permissions. This aligns with Google’s policy on sensitive data: you must limit access, collection, use, and sharing of personal and sensitive data.

3. How we use your data

We use your data only for the following purposes:

  • App functionality: process payments, manage shops, generate reports, etc.
  • Experience improvement: error diagnostics, usage statistics, bug fixes.
  • Communication: send notifications, alerts, and technical assistance.
  • Legal compliance and security: fraud prevention and misuse detection.

4. Sharing data with third parties

Data may be shared only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, push notifications) under contract and not allowed to sell data.
  • Legal authorities when required by law.

In the event of a merger or sale of the company, we will inform users and require the new controller to comply with this policy.

We do not sell or commercialize your personal data to third parties.

5. Data security

We implement technical and organizational security measures:

  • Secure transmission using TLS encryption (HTTPS).
  • Data safeguards aligned with industry practices (authentication, access control, secure servers).
  • We ensure our subcontractors comply with privacy standards.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain your current and historical data while your account exists, or as needed to comply with legal or tax requirements.

If you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted, unless there is a legal retention obligation.

7. Consent and transparency

Whenever the app requires access to sensitive data (location, microphone, contacts), we will request your explicit permission.

When data collection is not obvious, we will show a prominent notice explaining what data will be collected, for what purpose, and with whom it will be shared before it happens.

8. Regulatory compliance

We follow international regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, among others) depending on the jurisdiction.

Users in the EU, UK or Switzerland have rights of access, rectification, restriction, objection, portability, and deletion.

We implement Google Play’s required Data Safety and privacy mechanisms (as of February 2025).

9. Children’s policy

If Appli-Car is ever directed to minors:

  • We would comply with COPPA (U.S.) and Google Play Families policies, including verifiable parental consent.
  • We would implement additional processes to collect, use, and protect minors’ data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to adapt to legal, technical, or business changes.

We will notify users via the app, email, or by publishing on our website. The “Last updated” date will reflect the change.

Account access and deletion

You may request deletion of your account and related data from the app or by emailing privacidad@appli-car.com.

We will process the request without undue delay, subject to legal requirements.
